It is a Limited Liability Company with its registered office at No. 19 Andrew Street, Freetown. The Sierra Leone Insurance Commission (SLICOM), the regulatory body for the Insurance Industry in Sierra Leone, rated the company 3rd in the life assurance business as of 2016. The Company was 100% foreign owned with its parent Company resident in Nigeria. It was fully acquired in 2016 by indigenous owners, who have acquired 100% of its shares. It started underwriting Life Business and after its acquisition in 2016, started underwriting other classes of Insurance Businesses. Capital Express Assurance Company (SL) Limited is one of the leading underwriters for the Group Life Scheme for Civil Servants, Police, Sierra Leone Correctional Services, Fire Force and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces. The Company remains a major player in the insurance industry up to date. The Company has a robust mix of clientele cutting across various sectors including Civil Service, Forces, Manufacturing, NGOs, Banking & Finance and Construction, our business revolves around Group Life, Individual Life, Motor and Fire Businesses. The Company has a business mix of approximately 60% Life Assurance and 40% Motor and General Insurance Businesses. We have branch offices in Bo, Kenema, Makeni and Kissy Road. We are also working on increasing our presence in all the major towns and regions around the country by 2025.
